Karnataka has the highest Tiger population in the country. At present the Tiger population is estimated around 406+ as per the India Tiger estimate 2014 conducted by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India. Tiger Reserves which is headed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger), Mysuru & Shivamogga.
